COLUMBIA —The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE) announced today that Douglas A. Snyder was confirmed by the South Carolina Senate to serve on the CHE Board of Commissioners.
Commissioner Snyder graduated from The Citadel in 1982 and holds a B.S. in Business Administration. He is a certified public accountant and a certified global management accountant. Throughout his career, he worked across constantly changing, complex organizations and management structures to help leaders make the best decisions based on financial and other related data. Snyder has worked as an audit manager in an international accounting firm, a chief financial officer in a South Carolina state-wide nonprofit organization, and as a business coach in the accounting firm he founded, The Snyder Firm, PA.
Snyder has also held numerous positions on The Citadel Board of Visitors, to include chair, and currently serves as a member emeritus.
