The deadline for state scholarship appeals for the 2022-23 academic year has been extended by one week, the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education announced today. The new deadline to file an appeal is Friday, Sept. 9 at 5 p.m.
The extension is intended to provide constituents additional time to access information on the appeals process, following the CHE's recent transition to a new website hosting domain. Bookmarks to the previous location for this information are no longer valid on the new domain. The new location for the Student Scholarship Appeals page is: https://che.sc.gov/student-scholarship-appeals, which can be found in the Student Resources section of the website.
The deadline extension is a one-time revision for this academic year only, and not a permanent change to the State Scholarship Appeals Process.
ALL materials related to appeals- including the Appeals Application, Student Letter, ALL transcripts from any institution attended (including dual enrollment), and all supporting documentation must be in the CHE offices no later than 5 pm on Sep. 9. Documentation provided to the CHE after that date, unless requested by staff or the Appeals Committee, will not be accepted. Please note that no additional extensions will be allowed.
For additional questions regarding scholarship appeals deadline, please contact Dr. Karen Woodfaulk, Director, Office of Student Affairs, at kwoodfaulk@che.sc.gov, or (803) 856-0578.
